I’m all for Gavin Newsom’s ban on gas powered cars. The problem is how does he fix the infrastructure to supply enough electricity to 45 million people to make that a reality. It’s why I didn’t buy electric when I got my Civic last year. Nowhere to plug in!

They might not need them, but every spot should have one. And there might be subsidies, but I promise you, having lived in LA for 10 years, my rent will get a hike because of it. If you buy electric you should get a tax break. Or maybe a lower interest rate on your loan.
you currently do get a tax break. and you don't have to buy gas, which is a huge savings.

Well the tax break is news to me. But I don’t know how much I’d be saving not buying gas compared to how much my electric bill will go up + rent increase to pay for outlets (I still believe Moss and Company will jack up our rent). Even before pandemic, gas wasn’t a major expense.
