I’m all for Gavin Newsom’s ban on gas powered cars. The problem is how does he fix the infrastructure to supply enough electricity to 45 million people to make that a reality. It’s why I didn’t buy electric when I got my Civic last year. Nowhere to plug in!

I live on the second floor of an apartment complex. My car has an assigned spot 300 or 400 feet away from my nearest window. He’d have to force complex owners to renovate their lots. Again, I’m all for it. But work needs to be done to make it viable.
I'm sure there's plans for subsidies to apartment complex owners to put outlets in their parking lots/garages. it's not like every car needs a 220v fast charging port.

They might not need them, but every spot should have one. And there might be subsidies, but I promise you, having lived in LA for 10 years, my rent will get a hike because of it. If you buy electric you should get a tax break. Or maybe a lower interest rate on your loan.

you currently do get a tax break. and you don't have to buy gas, which is a huge savings.
