As I left for E3, my wife was about to file a police report for theft and started calling other contractors. Finally, Mike texted and said he'd be here this Tuesday, which is today. True to his word, finally, dude shows up at 9 am, looking ...not great. He's got 3 ppl with him.

I've sequestered myself to my office bc I can't be trusted to not freak out on him at this point but the work started and they were digging pits for the fence poles. They left around 10 to go get the fence. It's been 3 hours.

There's a few helmets and some digging tools on our lawn, no Mike. No shady fellow workers. No fence in site. Not even posts.

I'm about to go outside to see if maybe they've just been stuck on the side of the house for this long removing this ground cover/bush thing that is in the way of the fence. My guess is no. Brb.

The remnants of the giant juniper bush are piled up on my front lawn, and i cant tell yet if they realized there were sprinkler pipes under there when they dug it out. Half the team pulled up in a tiny little truck, a truck that did not have my fence in it.

I think there's about a .01 percent chance I get a fence in today. They're also supposed to be doing a custom gate on my deck so my kid doesn't go careening down the stairs.

It has been 5 hours since they arrived. There are two fence posts in the ground.
