"Quality" in education may mean test scores to some. But for others, quality education means caring staff, whole child education, safety, education environment, specialized services, or family values. They're counting on us, parents.

Those opposed to school choice for children are coming at us- hard. Recent revelations ab tax loopholes from our AG have sent them into major tailspin. They see recent success in SC, IA, UT. Parent voice is getting louder, demanding what's best for our kids. We cannot be ignored.

You can’t BOTH support vouchers such as Pell Grants, GI Bill, universal pre k, TANF, Medicaid, Medicare or Section 8 BUT be against k-12 scholarships, tax credits, money follows the child or any other vouchers bc they ALL provide the same services based in the same ethics.

does not solve the problem of foster kids or children of divorce whose parents don't agree about education. So you're looking at potentially 48% of children (that's the percentage of marriages that end in divorce) whose default is public. 1/

You can’t possibly determine that for 50 million American K-12 parents. Every family’s situation is different. For instance, you chose to send your children to private school, presumably because that was the best option for their unique needs.

It says something to me when a school system supports and celebrates the male ball players doing "dress for success" (coats and ties) on a big game day, but the geography bee and the drama production do "everybody wear this $9 t shirt if you want." #SchoolCulture

Take a look at what's happening in our largest PA city. Eye opening. Alarming. Angering. Yes, support district schools appropriately. Support change & improvement. But give these kids a chance to find safety, relief, and refuge NOW. We (THEY) don't have time to waste.
