Apparently, auto burglaries in San Francisco have become a spectator sport. Notice the @sfmta_muni #cablecar operator casually enjoying his lunch.

Unacceptable. That muni driver should've call the police but chances r he's part of the ring..

Why would you think he’s part of the ring? But agree, he should’ve called the cops. Most people are apathetic now bc it happens so often everywhere, & they figure getting involved is dangerous—why risk it when it’s not like the DA would do anything to punish criminals anyway?

None of us tweeting know if he called the cops or not. All speculating! If he called the cops good for him. If he didn’t, I can understand if he didn’t want to get involved. Not his job to intervene either. Bottom line is even if caught,
@chesaboudin probably would let him go!1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

I agree. We don’t know. He should’ve but understandable if he didn’t, given current SF sentiments. That’s basically what I said, too.

Irrespective of Chesa cops are lame ducks and prima donnas these days..quick to shoot and defer blame; govt paid thugs w/ guns... A disgraceful culture.
