i honestly dont know why they changed zone dmg cause if you played elite q days it used to do like baby dmg and buffing it made people not ape into the red zone

I agree with you. I also tanked the zone in a 3-3-1 situation. I waited for them to fight each other which they eventually did so I can get 2nd or 1st place. Got 2nd easily and my randoms called me stupid. They don't understand zone tick changes or what I just did.
