My @TeamYouTube creator studio says people are spending more time watching my videos than ever before, and yet my earnings have gone down drastically - anyone else noticing this?

Time doesn't equate to money, unless you are placing multiple ads.
Yeah, true. But if more people are watching and my ad clicks or whatever have gone down this much.. I don't understand

Something that was mentioned in a livestream that I watched the day before yesterday talked about how in January, advertisers don’t put as much money into ads as they do in nov and dec. Perhaps that causes a lower payout since the pool isn’t as deep?

Increased views should generate more revenue, but there are also factors in that. Video tags, type of ads being run, January is always a slower moth for ad revenue, whereas December will have been busier. Also will be dependent on your viewer.
