EA on HB303 is up in House Judiciary. Conflicting statements between objections to services and the connections to people and patients. How institutions and employers will be impacted by accommodating such discrimination. This is harmful on many fronts. #MtLeg #MtPol

Thank you Senator Tester for taking the time to meet with our staff, for listening to your constituents, and for standing with us in this fight to protect reproductive rights!

America was founded on freedom and we don’t need the government telling anyone how to make their own health care decisions. Happy to sit down with Jessica, who organizes her community in Bozeman with @PPAdvocatesMT.

House Judiciary did not take Executive Action on HB303 today. Keep calling 444-4800 to leave a message for the cmte & urge a NO on this truly harmful bill. Patients will suffer simply for who they are, what they have experienced and the healthcare they need. #MtLeg #MtPol

#HB303 is so harmful in a myriad of ways. It explicitly lines out an #abortion consent req, but a religious, moral or ethical refusal could be used by any hlthcare emp to deny treatment resulting in harm to just about anyone. A lot of comments about #LGBTQ ppl. NO on #HB303

Planned Parenthood Advocates of Montana representative, Quinn, is speaking. "This bill absolves all those refusing care of all criminal, administrative, or civil liability even if a patient is harmed. There is no protection for the patient, even if their life is at risk."

SB 99 has a hearing date: Fri. 1/27! The bill would ban gender-affirming care for minors in MT & prevent public school teachers & counselors from participating in a minor’s social transition, (which can be as simple as referring to a student by a new name). 📢What can you do? ⬇️

In the continuous struggle for full bodily autonomy for everyone that needs it, & for those who face the greatest systemic barriers, it’s critical that we advocate for abortion care in tandem with protecting our courts & judiciary - Especially here in MT.

"...the months ahead will be difficult as Montanans watch legislators try to chisel away at our constitutionally protected right to privacy. But as activists, leaders, & supporters of the reproductive rights movement in MT, we are not deterred."#mtleg

Sen. Usher stopped Mike Meloy, former legislator and legal expert from speaking, saying he wasn’t on the bill. Meloy retorts, “this is about the bill, the legislative body can’t do this, it’s unconstitutional.” #MtLeg

Tomorrow's 1pm hearing with the Dept. of Health & Human Services is a great opportunity to chime in with your opposition to bureaucrats creating useless, discriminatory barriers to abortion care for low-income and rural Montanans weareplannedparenthoodaction.org/a/advocate-fai #MTpol #MTAbortionFacts

Fight stigma! There is NO shame in talking about abortion!
Quote Tweet
Tips on talking about abortion: ✅ Skip euphemisms and just say it: abortion. ✅ Use “abortion later in pregnancy.” ✅ Include gender-neutral/inclusive terms — like “people” or “women, trans, and nonbinary people.”
“ …I see this as yet another attempt by the Legislature and by this administration to try and reduce access and make it harder for folks to be able to seek an abortion, which is of course essential health care.” Martha Fuller, president & CEO of PPMT

Can anyone tell us what specific purpose an appendix serves to our health & wellbeing? A "womb" doesn't make a woman & everyone should have the right to make decisions about their bodies (which includes ALL of their organs). Like & share if you agree!
