Snow doesn't stop our field folks from doing site reconnaissance! We need quiet sites and clear data transmission paths back to Seattle. We are now using drone footage at potential sites like this to scan for a radio tower as a receiver location.

ShakeAlert is still in testing and is not available to the public at this time. The warning system did activate successfully for these events and we hope it will be available to the public by the end of 2020.

Did you feel any earthquakes over Thanksgiving weekend in the PNW? There were a few, including a M4.5 in southern Oregon that might be a rare small Cascadia Fault quake. PNSN’s Bill Steele talked to Glen Farley of about them.
