Well I’m in favor of pre order bonuses, it rewards dedication. I’m trusting enough to basically buy your game before it’s out it’s nice to be like “hey here’s this extra thing for you trust”

They do because they keep people coming back to the game so they buy the microtransations. If there was nothing to be sold at this point they wouldn’t do it but because there is they keep it up to date

consider this: Most devs aren’t greedy fucks and want to make good games Most publishers have investors that expect profits on their returns, and those publishers tell devs what to do. the devs r great but if they do work that doesn’t make money, investors become :(

So not only do they do work and updates to make money, but b/c if the investors put money in to pay devs and the devs make content for FREE the investors make no return and thus give the pubs less $$ and thus devs get punished Devs wanna make games but $$ it’s always important
