Another new record on new cases with 22k. Dear goodness this government is failing the pandemic response. Highest no. of active cases since April 17, 2021, the previous peak of active cases. Lowest case fatality rate since Sept 2, 2020.

Positive rate exceeding 25% and is the highest at 29.4%. We should be testing at least 7 times than current testing activities. National and NCR ICU and ward beds rates are at high utilization risk. Hospitals are stretched to their limits.

COVID is not losing steam. It can still go higher. They have never contained this, and now the Delta variant is making clusters under the government's nose. Contact tracing and testing have no indication of an improved status.

There is a data crisis in DOH as well, with so many cases being purged off the COVID census, and many recoveries being revised as active, died, or purged out of the census.

Our government is maneuvering its pandemic response in a fog and close to a cliff. I think we need change in policy or administration. The end of the pandemic is far from sight.
