      As I’ve gotten more into my games studies, I’ve started noticing a trend with game designers choosing to trim or forego tutorials, in order to “respect player intelligence.” I’ve fallen into this mentality too, but I want to talk about how it’s a problematic approach.

      seriously i have yet to find a nice way to tie together character animations, UI elements(text/video/in world iconography), gameplay interactions, and sound in way that can be sped up, skipped and reviewed or at all reused. really wanted unity timeline to be it but nah
