Your argument is invalid. Brain-active chemicals change the brain. It has never been shown that depression is caused by a chemical imbalance, e.g. in serotonin. Alcohol makes people sleepy but not all sleepy people have drunk alcohol.

If the biomedical model doesn’t work for somebody, then obviously he needs more of it. This was the argument used to justify bloodletting: if the patient didn’t get better, bleed him again. If he died, it wasn’t the fault of the treatment.

I suppose you are a psychiatrist. The psychiatrists invented the lie about the chemical imbalance. The patients didn't! Info on websites ultimately comes from psychiatrists. They are those responsible for all the harm done to patients.

Three quarters of popular websites is not the same as most psychiatrists. Many psychiatrists base their practice and advice to patients on other sources of information

The Zyprexa Papers, a must-read book about illegal, forced drugging - destroying patients. Psychiatrists, lawyers and Eli Lilly lied shamelessly, and judges didn’t care. Only in Alaska Supreme Court did lawyer Jim Gottstein get justice.

Yes, it is fraud to lie to the patients. Three-quarters of popular websites have some claim about a chemical imbalance causing depression or that a drug can fix the non-existing imbalance (in press; Int J Saf & Risk Med)

In New York State, a bill is under way prohibiting children to go to school unless vaccinated against HPV. But HPV does not spread in the classroom. There seems to be no limit to the insanity in public health. Or, do we just see the result of corruption?

Can you imagine a cardiologist saying, “There is something wrong with your heart, so you need to take a drug for life,” when there is no evidence that it is so? Most psychiatrists tell their depressed patients they have a serotonin deficiency. This is medical fraud.

Forced medication should be with drugs with the fewest possible adverse effects. Danish law was violated in 29 of the 30 (97%) consecutive cases we examined. Forced medication must be abandoned, also because it is harmful and unethical.

Outstanding account from a patient seriously harmed by psychiatric drugs. Became suicidal and manic, and suffered an excruciating withdrawal phase. Lost 14 years to psychiatry but is doing well today. Illustrates most things that are wrong in psychiatry.

Unpublished trial reports showed that 12% more patients dropped out on a depression pill than on placebo. People preferred placebo even though some were harmed due to cold turkey effects when the pretrial depression pill was stopped before randomisation.

Cochrane’s “strengthened” policy: 33% of new review authors can be on company payroll . Before, it was 50%. Semmelweis never told doctors to wash one hand. Wash both. It took Cochrane over two years to “strengthen” its policy after I had asked for a change.

Editorial misconduct: My attempts to rebut fabricated, defamatory lies published by Oxford professor Trisha Greenhalgh and three colleagues in a Wiley owned journal, Journal of Evaluation in Clinical Practice, were futile. See process here:
