I’ve been made aware of a video that surfaced of me in 2014 saying both racial and a homophobic slur. I am so sorry for ever thinking it was okay, as a straight white man, to say those things. It is gross and disgusting and I wish I never thought it was acceptable.
To those of you who it upsets, I am genuinely sorry. It was and is wrong. I understand if you don’t accept my apology, no one is obligated to. You have every right to be upset or disgusted with me. I never want to be a person who hurts others, and I was. I am sincerely sorry.
Also for clarity, the very end of the video is an out of context clip of me talking about a popular chant at Florida events, not literal black people. I’ve tweeted this about it before as well.
