Im not sure about that. It may be up to Maker since it didn't air, but production companies often lose the rights. For instance, Amblin doesn't own rights to ET. Universal does.

No, that's exactly what Im saying they could do. Once you have distribution rights, you can do whatever you want with it. That's why many music artists, besides the giant names, have no say where their music is used. They made it, but it's the record labels now.

Disney cancelled ABC's highest rated show in a decade because the crazy lady they hired said something a little crazy. My point is if it's up to Maker, there is no chance it comes back.
