160 years ago on Oct 18, 1860, #Beijing's Old Summer Palace, was devastated by English and French troops after massive looting during the Second Opium War. Take a visual tour of the Old Summer Palace in Beijing, also known as Yuanmingyuan, to feel its grandeur and beauty before the burning and massive looting of the palace. Free entry is allowed on Sunday in a bid to remember history and draw more people into the memorial place.pic.twitter.com/z9rzZWRmMe

I have been there and visited the site. The summer palace is an incredible site of human civilization. Devastation is an obvious sign of tyranny that again appeared in the first and the second world war and China, still shall be aware of.

5 years ago, on October 17 2015, Gui Minhai was kidnapped by a brutal state. I offer you this information for free to mark this unworthy event in history. #FreeGuiMinhai

I wonder what history will make of the current Chinese government. If they were allowed what would the Uighur and Tibetan people say.
