I remember going to Japan for the first time and going back to my air bnb by myself at night. I was stopped by the police and was scared but they just wanted to make sure I knew where I was going and helped me get to my air bnb. That would never happen in the US.

I'm torn on "liking" this tweet, bc part of me is happy that the story ends well w/ u receiving assistance even if unwarranted, but on the other hand, the comparison should have never have been needed,.. bc our police should never have made into sharks, & u & we deserve better
