If billionaires and billionaire corporations were taxed properly, the government and people would need to be (heavily) reliant on the goodwill of its rich. They could actually do ish themselves

The government is controlled by the wealthiest Americans and corporations, though. That's kind of why people are mad at them. That concept has been pretty consistent, it's not like it's only being brought up when rich people donate.
