And while smash events definitely can grow on a marketing/profitability level, how much can we blame E.Os? The vast majority started this out of passion, not profit. They don't come with the marketing & sales skills to do so. You can hope they learn it but can't *expect* it.

I understand, but this falls on E.O.s being better at marketing and sales to improve profitability and thus viability. Most of these people have no sales/market skills b/c that's not what they intended when they started the tournament. Obv. The 1% of E.O.s that do should spread
