btw if you sum up the total career winnings of every top melee player for the game's entire ~18 year history its still less than 2nd place at the Fortnite world cup
It's actually sad man. We need to atleast increase singles to 15-20 dollar entry at Majors.

I mean they need to have a nice ass pc to get those crisp frames for the last 3 zones with 80 ppl for it to not lag, stream setup, etc. they put lots of money into their stuff too

The only real solution to that would be Nintendo sponsoring tournaments, which isn't gonna happen, so raising entry fees at majors is really the only other option.

When Melee reaches the popularity and relevance of a game that came out two years ago and is culturally the biggest game of all time, maybe you’d see the same prize pools. Also Nintendo has no interest in financing Melee tournaments. This is coming from someone who loves both.
