Unless you're shielding, there is almost NO REASON to wavedash in Ultimate There is a universal 14 frame dash in the game. You can cancel any part of your run animation with this dash or a dash back. Melee Fox's perfect wavedash is 13 total frames. Waveland nice tho.
Some characters "wavedash back" in Ultimate are better than others and can act out of it easier. Video coming on Friday
