Adapting: Only if you’re actually gonna pursue an Esports career. Knowledge of new tech: -||- Reaction, reflexives, timing, precision, ”studying data”(?) all are things you don’t have much use of (in general) in life. Teamwork, processing: Could be taught in other ways like-

-playing a fitting sport in P.E that practices that, which also would help you with your health. Sorry but I really don’t see the use for this unless you’re gonna go for that specific career which most of us aren’t, there are better things for the school to spend money on tbh.

These skills can be applied to both a digital medium or any traditional medium. Subject matter that resonates with platforms that engage. That is education 2020, not 1990.

Mind blowing to me that people can’t seem to make the connection between the critical thinking skills developed by gaming and real world application. People are just living in the past, refusing to accept there are new ways to learn that are more engaging than old methods.

Exactly and in the Esports industry their are so many things you can learn to use in other fields as well.(photography,videography, marketing, event planning, graphic design, consulting,etc)

You dont have to compare it to real sports. People can enjoy both. You can like Pizza and hamburgers
