Mind blowing to me that people can’t seem to make the connection between the critical thinking skills developed by gaming and real world application. People are just living in the past, refusing to accept there are new ways to learn that are more engaging than old methods.
Exactly and in the Esports industry their are so many things you can learn to use in other fields as well.(photography,videography, marketing, event planning, graphic design, consulting,etc)

All these could literally just be combined with PE and some sort of media class, and PERSONALLY I think that would make a better job at that. What I’m suprised by(or not so) is that all these esports fanatics expect all kids to be more engaged in that than traditional team sports

Just because esports is the new thing doesn’t mean it’s revolutionary and automatically just makes it more efficient than learning stuff other ways. Yes I get it, it could see some use but (as I said) there are better ways to teach these things than esports imo
