One thing I can say for sure is all smash 4 players and I mean all will switch to Smash Ultimate.

I'm sure if they wanted to add it they would just add it, highly likely that it wasn't a mistake. Game looks fun to play casually, don't think I could hyper focus and train for tournaments.

How do you feel that Ryu auto facing his opponent will affect your gameplay? I feel like that’d be annoying as hell. I didn’t get to play yet so could just be overthinking.
