Falsehoods about the result of a presidential election spurred an assault on democracy. Sound familiar? People storming government buildings in Brasília, the capital of #Brazil, is another prominent example of the offline harms caused by #misinformation.

The Post's praised the newspaper's weekly standalone magazine, soon to be defunct, "in particular a special issue dedicated to the decline of local news". We note that the decline of local news is an urgent matter for Americans.

I pushed hard to bring NEWSROOM CONFIDENTIAL out before the midterms. It meant writing 1,000 words a day seven days a week, which was grueling. wrote that it may be “this fall’s most timely book.” That, and this praise below, is gratifying 🙏
