I want to uplift all workers impacted by #COVIDー19. While New Yorkers have stepped up to support workers and their families by delivering food, cash, and services through self-organized mutual aid networks, a federal jobs policy must be enacted to protect displaced workers.

I am grateful for contributions of workers with disabilities who continue to fight for workplace rights. When I was diagnosed with #Lupus, I had severe mobility issues. Because of my disabilities, I didn't think I was hireable. I feared not having flexibility to manage Lupus.

I’m a Democratic Socialist as a result of navigating the healthcare system from #Lupus diagnosis at 17 to this day. When workplace health insurance was expensive, I opted for Medicaid. Still, I've had to crowdfund to pay off medical debt. This is troubling and unacceptable.
