Remdesivir manufacturer, Gilead, just set the price for the COVID-19 treatment: between $2,300 and $3,100 per patient. @icer_review estimates the treatment costs approx. $1 per vital to produce. $1.

I still firmly believe the US is subsiding the rest of the world on rx prices. The play is to keep Americans paying super high so it’s not a big loss when other reasonable countries highly regulate price. We are dumb and politicians are cheap enough to bribe.
