I love that the savvy, cynical, unsentimental left position is that Ted Cruz actually wanted to work with AOC to reform Wall Street

FINALLY. It's going to take an absolute miracle run for me to have a shot at 7-99, but at least I finally made it here.

I am fascinated by how this question is never asked in the reverse. 10 Senate Republicans made a counteroffer that’s less than a third of the size of Biden’s plan and have made no commitment to supporting a final bill. Are *they* serious about bipartisanship?

And that goes without saying that these criticisms, deliberately or not, will often reinforce certain types of games — often player-friendly power fantasies — as a “correct” hegemonic ideal. Not everything has to be Mario or Super Meat Boy. Hostility to the player can be good!

So, I’m not going to say that any critique based on “game feel” is useless, but I do feel like most criticisms of game feel are actually issues with level design and pacing. Plodding and methodical controls can be as interesting as a frictionless glide with the right staging.

This is actually the way many gamers with disabilities play games. It's a program called VoiceAttack that you can buy on Steam. You program it so that when you say certain things it pushes certain keyboard commands. When you can't use your hands, you can often use your voice.

For so long the theory was that Republicans were acting like they were because they were afraid of a Trump tweet. And I kept arguing, no they are acting like they are because they are *invested in the same project as Trump*. I think that's more evident now than ever.

Repubs know that when they make the Senate dysfunctional pundits and reporters blame generic "gridlock" and not them. It's a bipartisan "failure" that supports their overarching message that gov is bad. It's maddening that there are any Dems who don't understand this advantage.

Dems had one shot to get enough Republican votes to convict and remove Trump and it was on Jan. 7. They missed their chance to blow.

That’s insane. They’re not moot. He still has the money. When any other federal employee violates the emoluments clause they have to forfeit the money.

So I guess we're going to avoid a difficult constitutional question by letting the most powerful person in the world take bribes with impunity.
