The words “Ireland rejoining the UK” have trended countless times during Brexit. Regardless of the speaker and their intentions - the word REJOIN should never be used them. As it assumes we joined you. Political Unions under free will and Colonisation are highly distinct acts.

It’s actually deeply insulting to Irish people in a way reminiscent of attitudes from the 19th century. Pardon my language but this utter bullshit of a Brexit policy has thrown up some contemptible thought processes that 10 years ago would have not even thought of.

The fact that it had Ireland, almost universally backing Bertie Ahern in 2019 tells you everything you need to know

Strange how people who want to leave one Union so often cite benefits of unions across these islands of ours...selective imaginations... 🤔

Ireland will never “rejoin” the basket case that is the UK. We will show how a small progressive country can thrive in the EU. Scotland will join us and in time so will Northern Ireland
