Anti-Semitism on the left not only exists, but there’s a wider group of people who are in total denial about it and dismiss any suggestion it’s there as a smear campaign. This is completely out of order and has to be confronted and defeated.

Another thing: there's a big difference between being a *leftist* and a *conspiracist*. Leftists understand capitalism as a system of power relations. Conspiracists think there are shadowy groups of individuals pulling the strings. This lends itself to anti-Semitism.

I think there are many who aren't antisemetic who are in permanent defensive mode as a result of endless, often bizarre media attacks against Jeremy over the years. So when a justifiable criticism arises (like this), they just package it with the rest and refuse to engage.

Well said and I hope we can extend this to all abuse on social media working with the PLP - general voluntary code of conduct despite genuine disagreements or concerns. All sides. Abuse, report, do not engage as it perpetuates the problem.
