My inboxes are full of trans people who are scared, angry and upset. Trans friends openly tell me they are looking at leaving the country for good. One of the most oppressed minorities in Britain is being relentlessly savaged, and too few people are speaking out about it.

The Guardian should be writing extensively about trans access to healthcare but instead it's pearl-clutching about middle-class blue-ticks being shocked by the expression "pregnant people".

When that related to enhanced guidance specific to trans parents presenting at maternity & guidance was welcomed by midwifery & ancillary staff as it salved their concerns about causing unintentional sleights or hurts in saying something wrong. A positive made negative at time

It really shocks me that anybody could complain that we, the LGTB community, support transexuals. The T in our name is after transgender. They are not only one of the most important group in the community but also the first fighters for the cause 50 years ago. We are together
