I've paid hundreds of dollars for expansions to games, which come out yearly in some cases. $60 for one big upgrade is nothing, people are getting a bit to spoiled and expect everything free, there's no monthly sub so 60 bucks every 4-5 years, that's soooo cheap!

Well this is only partially true aswell. The digital version was available for $40, but only for PC and on http://battle.net . On consoles the cheapest was the Origins Edition at $60. Which is probably why people assume it's going to be $60 again.
Then again even 60 for a full console game is normal nowadays, I think most games are even 70 now?
