You can pretty much customize the game however you live afaik! I didn't try it myself yet :(

Gamemodes like tag. As in: You have a 2 groups of 3, One Item in the middle that has to be collected and kept in the team until they reach a certain amount of points and if the player having the item looses like 50% of his health, he drops the item so that anyone can collect it

If there was a map editor, it would be incredibly compelling. Sadly, it's just a way to alter the parameters of what we already have (in most cases just making them extra powerful or ridiculous). It feels like a fad that will get old very soon.
