Honestly idk bc I’d have to see apex but OW has a lot disability functions if you know how to set them up (Bf who is ow gm level is colorblind, and I can only use one hand so my settings are all custom)
Overwatch has a colorblind option with different filters tho! But I have no idea how much it differs from the Apex one :( Is it much worse on Overwatch?

she's tried them all, on stream, and they don't work. too many abilities randomly change colour or aren't effected by the colourblind options. especially shields, which are kinda important to see.

This sounds like a testing issue tbh, like the tests written to verify CB modes work correctly with every build simply didn’t materialize. Its a common issue these days unfortunately.
