There's no critique there. Moldbug was explicit about not complaining but building, about not whining but gathering strength and virtue, of recognizing the loser as someone who is unable to hold the mandate of heaven- the hot potato of power.

I would fault Moldbug only in playing to the prejudices of a "noble losers" chorus. The whole Jacobite romanticism rhetoric was badly judged.
