@Outsideness - you refer to a "Part 5" in your Dark Enlightenment essay, where you say there's "some bone-fragment picking to do among the ashes and debris" - did that Part 5 ever appear anywhere? Asking for a friend...

You should ask
@cyborg_nomade -- he has a far better grip on whatever the hell has been happening than I have.1 reply 0 retweets 5 likes -

this is the closest to the Part 5 that ever happened: http://www.xenosystems.net/malthusian-horror/ … some mixture of this with part 4f is probably what was coming until the whole Ferguson incident got in the way (that seems so small right now...)

Thanks. Also, Ferguson? You mean the shooting of Michael Brown?

yes. the detour into the letter subseries (4a,b,etc) is basically derived from the outrage following that.

It was the John Derbyshire-factor that drew me in -- Witch-trialing in real time of a writer I like a lot.

If literal racism (Ie, actual segregationist laws on the books, covenants on deeds, slavery, etc) weren’t such a part of American history, performing an Ideologiekritik on epithetical “racism” wouldn’t be so fraught.

Is disparate impact "racism" though? If it is, the word functions to criminalize classical liberalism.

Seems like the question should be “does disparate impact indicate ‘racism’?” To that I can only say “it might.” But in any event classical liberalism is safe since “business necessity” is the main defence against disparate impact claims.

Now you're being glib. Diversity mandates are imposing an astronomical cost on American businesses, and it's still getting worse.
