IQ, aggression, and other mostly innate factors account for most of the difference, but Islam definitely contributes. The problem is most people who admit anything at all will only admit to the Islam part, which isn't even the majority of the problem.

It's more dependent on historical and cultural factors. West and East Slavs are only significantly divided by language and religion, not genetics, yet have different predispositions towards collectivism and attitudes towards communism.
