R/Acc: "Capital autonomization is the transcendental structure of social agency within modernity." U/Acc (PR Dept.): "We have theoretically broken from your tired humanism."

One could say... It was always already dead

no one talks about dead ideas (which brings us to the question: what are y'all doing here?)

My point is that u/acc and r/acc are very much the same thing, with different reactions by differently minded people.

Only difference being that some fundamental issues with acc in general are recognized and questioned by r/acc, while u/acc seem to take acceleration as a matter of pure teleological faith, ultimately.

Constant Techonomic intensification is not certain at all to me, so there's my quip. R/acc recognizes the enormous issue of current cybernetic drag. U/acc handwaves it

this seems like it nails the distinction: R/Acc (apparently) insists that technological intensification needs to be helped (guided even?) by a consistent political vision (which, to U/Acc, amounts precisely to expecting politics to throw itself out of a helicopter)

This seems to me to be (intelligently and interestingly) wrong. It describes hard neoliberalism rather than R/Acc.

Replying to @Outsideness @Marav0ne and
to the extent that R/Acc isn't synonymous with an accelerationist predilection for NRx or hard (neo- or otherwise) liberalism, I guess -for now- I'd be comfortable with an understanding of U/Acc among other things as an R/Acc-internal criticism of these preferences
