3. Attempts at top-down control over the message are doomed to fail, especially in settings like this. Organizers can control themselves, but don't overestimate their ability to control anyone else.

4. People are free to organize their own rallies, and I am curious how they would turn out. Maybe something would unexpectedly be a hit. However, 5. There's little or no evidence of successful real life right wing activism (as in political rallies) in recent years.

6. The left is successful at ignoring its unsavory elements. You can, too. 7. In the end, you can advise people, hope they'll listen, and disavow if they don't, but you'll still be lumped in with them by the media/public. Focus on what you can actually control.
