If the state weren't 'protecting' my rights, I would be able to see to their protection myself. And then they would actually be protected.

As a matter of fact, the state completely fails to protect your property. I can remove trespassers myself - but I'm not allowed to.

Pretty sure the "conservative" reaction to 9/11 was symptom, not cause. Conservativism must have been psychologically destroyed before that.
