Probably the most disgraceful single episode in media history: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/04/24/opinion/what-liberal-snowflakes-get-right-about-free-speech.html?_r=1 … Can we stop calling them 'liberals' yet?

There's nothing illiberal about discrimination. "Discrimination" is an almost exact synonym for cognitive function.

I see many critics of liberalism use this to tear it down, when it makes no sense. Liberalism was based upon individual & property rights.

The meaning of the word 'liberal' altered a long time ago. Nobody's bashing classical-liberalism here.

I'm making a larger point, I have seen many criticize classical liberalism in exactly this way. Seemed he was as well. If not, my mistake.

My other larger point is that "liberal" still means what it's always meant. It's not a political term, it describes many things.

I don't disagree (and prefer the term myself). But that meaning is incomprehensible relative to common parlance.

I get where you're coming from, for sure. But it seems like letting them have that word is half the battle. Maybe I feel too strongly, idk.
