"How does an exogamic culture preserve itself, though?" "Yup, that's the serious question."

Strange to hear you denouncing your old work. Been awhile since I read it, but you compare capitalism and borders to Apartheid. First time I read that essay, it made a lot of sense to me.
-
I only mention the cursed thing because it's endlessly being brought up, and the case against it is so obvious.

(My notes) The essay is hardly bio-centred though, exogamy is simply a tool for capital to utilize as a means for greater difference. Exogamic structures are akin to Theseus' ship.
-
Of course, the previous parts of the ship would still need to be whole for there to be coherence. Capitalism is a Theseus-ship-singularity.

I always thought the discussion of 'using a priori syntheses to "gain knowledge" is merely a form of, at best, cowardice, and at worst, refusal to engage with the Outside' was the driving theme behind the essay (or at least was my point of departure).
-
Political predilections aside, one can probably dispense entirely with the discussion of exogamy/etc. and focus on the reading of Kant. I wrote a short thing on this a while back:http://guerrillaontologies.com/2019/02/land-wilderson-and-the-structure-of-alterity/ …

if you're on the subject of old work, the use of 'lunacy' in that sentence reminds one of trakl's moon symbolism
