One way to think of political philosophy is as a map of policy space. Different political philosophies will let you access different parts of policy space. Liberalism is constrained in a certain way, Marxism in another, etc, and that’s how they produce differences in governance.

People mined bitcoin to make money to pay for goods so they won’t die or have to perform tasks they don’t want to do in order to acquire money by other means, etc. Nobody would mine bitcoin without these preconditions. It’s quite obviously a case of coercion.

Are hunter-gatherers 'coerced' into hunting and gathering? Seems a bizarre usage of the term to me.
