Does blocking make any sense unless the Hate RT is an unacknowledged mega-weapon?

No it's lame. I just mute people if I think they get too annoying. I've only blocked maybe 2 or 3 accounts total, but they were just busybody accounts which were doxing people and posting personal info

I blocked a couple. One was this psychiatrist which him adding me out of the blue with nothing in common came off as odd. Don't want to be a case study for some jerk without permission or whatever... or maybe I was reading into it too much

There are (very rare) occasions in which blocking makes sense. Defense against stalkers, mostly. But the notion that it's preferable to muting in most cases is just weird.

Muting is a good option and essentially or existentially a right... but I wonder if it lends to a kind of passive aggressive vanity still.. Do we still need to get that dopamine fix of knowing they are following us? Or is it petty to string them along unawares?

This is so over-sensitive. Let them worry about that. Jesus.
