Cyberpunk 'anti-capitalism' is nothing more than a gloom-core tingle in a radically capitalist world (which is fine).

Cyberpunk anticapitalism was a girl disingenuously bemoaning what an asshole her crush was

Mr Land, isn't it possible that monopoly can lead to communism "from above"?

Monopoly is an entropy-sink so it's long-term menace is always over-stated. Same goes for the 'Singleton' AI scenarios. If an intelligence monopoly ever arose, competition-tweaked swarms would eat it.

Aha. On the other hand aren't we already more "socialized" under current modern states than before, despite ever-increasing competition? It seems like state control and "monopoly" of sorts does not conflict with further marketization.

Dubious about "ever-increasing competition" unless qualified, by the route-around thesis that what is squashed domestically returns internationally (i.e. a rising China kills Western social democracy.)

Does the Chinese model more closely resemblethe global future in your view?

The Chinese diaspora/periphery does it better, IMHO. China needs competitive pressure from the Outside as much as we do.
