The aggregate material well-being for all market participants is likely to eventually improve if labor mobility is maximized, but the well-being of the depressed side of the border will benefit disproportionately while markets stabilize. This WILL set American families back.

Ok wait. I’m missing something. Selection pressure is def at work on the southern border. The social service magnet is a big factor. Why would we assume people drawn by government programs wouldn’t disproportionately support additional intervention? Seems like a feedback loop.
