I've always been skeptical of the effects of advertisement. I mean, I know of noone who buys Gillette because of their adds, rather than because of their products utility.

Neither the right or the left get what they really want out of this arrangement. The right wants the culture but they sacrifice it in honor of respecting corporate profits. The left wants economic redistribution but sacrifices it in favor of their cultural mission being respected
