Pretty naive IMO to think that we were ever trying to "make democracy" somewhere & not just to keep the MIC booming. Vietnam was a weapons testing lab. Iraq & Syria the same. The DoD is the largest corp in human history. War is just "opening a new market." It isnt supposed to endhttps://twitter.com/Outsideness/status/1085963617130885120 …

The question is whether the DoD can be reigned in by the nation it ostensibly serves. So far, the answer has been a resounding "No."

When you've been in perpetual war for over a century, you have to at least ask if this isn't a quirk but by design. Technological innovation & War are the same thing. If War wanted to, War could have ended the ME squabbles in an instant. But then it would be over.

Obviously, it should be noted that under Empire, War is more like Policing- it should also be noted that these policing technologies are applied at home as well as abroad. Why does Alex Jones understand this better than Nick Land?

@Outsideness are you familiar with the writing of a certain Thierry Meyssan and, if not, may I suggest it?1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
Seems like a rather random recommendation.
