but really, I'm not getting what you're picturing here as post-capitalism. fully autonomous capital still needs to dig the earth to find metal, transport it to a facility, assemble machines out of it, and move them to the next stage.

the quantities at which each of those stage operates have to be determined somehow, and that's through, well, exchange between discrete elements, very likely through currency (to eliminate the double coincidence of wants problem).
