well, the choice in Brazil wasn't really good: corrupt communist or proto-fash militaristic idiot. about a third of the country chose the latter. the insanity of the whole things is really tragicomical.

the road to establishing an anti-democratic liberalism in Brazil would involve at least two key points: formalising "corruption" as sovereign services and allowing the sale of franchise rights. neither of which is under the purview of the military line here.
